SocialImageKit aims to be usable by as many people as possible. This statement describes what we have done so far and how to tell us when something gets in the way. It is honest about limits: we are a small site, not a certified WCAG audit.
What we have done
- Skip link to the main content on every page that uses the shared layout.
- Semantic headings, landmarks and form labels on tools and contact forms.
- Visible focus styles and keyboard-reachable primary navigation (including the mobile menu).
- Text alternatives for the brand mark and meaningful control icons where they convey information.
- Colour contrast aimed at readable body text on the light theme; we do not rely on colour alone for errors.
- Touch targets sized for phones on primary actions and footer links.
Known limits
The OG Image Generator canvas is a visual design surface. Screen-reader support for live canvas drawing is limited; fields that drive the image (title, size, template) remain in standard HTML controls. The Link Preview Checker depends on third-party pages we fetch; their markup quality is outside our control.
Compatibility
We test in current Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge on desktop, and in current mobile Safari and Chrome. Assistive technology is checked with keyboard-only use and, periodically, with VoiceOver or NVDA on a sample of pages. We do not claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance across every interactive canvas control.
How to report a problem
If you hit a barrier — missing label, focus trap, unreadable contrast, or anything else — emailhello@socialimagekit.comor use the contact page. Please include the page URL, your browser and assistive technology if relevant, and what you expected to happen. Sumera Yaqoob reads these messages and aims to reply within 2–3 business days.
