SocialImageKit is a small, free website for people who publish links and want those links to look deliberate when they are shared. Paste a URL into Slack, LinkedIn, Facebook, X or WhatsApp and the app asks the page for an Open Graph image. If that image is missing, the wrong size, or a random crop from the article, the preview looks unfinished. This site exists to make that preview easier to control.
The first tool is an OG image generator. You type a title, pick a template and size, and download a PNG or JPG on your own computer. Nothing in that flow is uploaded to socialimagekit.com. There is no account and no paid plan today. Later tools will follow the same idea: solve a specific preview problem, explain the markup involved, and stay usable without a login.
The problem it solves
Link previews fail in boring, repeatable ways. The og:image tag points at a relative path the crawler cannot resolve. The file is a 4 MB PNG that some platforms skip. The headline is too small to read on a phone. The page was updated but Facebook still shows last month’s picture because the URL never changed. Designers know these issues; many writers and developers meet them only after a post is already live.
SocialImageKit puts the image step in a browser tab so you can see 1200×630 before you deploy. It also collects the practical rules — absolute HTTPS URLs, common sizes, cache behaviour — in one place instead of sending you through six vendor docs for a single meta tag.
Who it is for
Developers who would rather not open a layout tool for every blog post. Bloggers and writers who want the shared card to match the title they actually wrote. Marketers who need a correctly sized PNG for a landing page without a separate design handoff. The site is written in English for people publishing in the US, UK, Australia and Canada, but the files it produces are just images and HTML tags. You can use them on any site you control.

There is no office tour, no invented team page and no claim of a large staff. The OG Image Generator runs in your browser and does not upload the canvas. TheLink Preview Checkeris the exception: it sends the public URL you type to a server function so we can read HTML the way a crawler would. That fetch is described on the tool page and in the Privacy Policy before you submit.
What we plan to add
The honest roadmap is short. A link preview checker that shows how a public URL is likely to appear when shared. Size guides that list recommended dimensions for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Pinterest, checked against current docs rather than rumour. More image helpers if a clear gap remains after those two exist. Dates are not promised. Features will ship when the copy and the behaviour are accurate enough to stand behind.
