SocialImageKit publishes practical pages about Open Graph images and social link previews. This policy is how those pages are written, checked and corrected. It is not a newsroom charter and we do not pretend to be a large editorial staff. [YOUR NAME] is responsible for the text.
How guides are written
A page starts from a real task: pick a size, fix a missing og:image, or understand a meta tag. We write in plain English. We do not invent user counts, awards or “most people do X” claims. If we have not measured something, we do not state it as a fact.
Sources
Pixel sizes, file limits and debugger names come from official platform documentation (and the debugging tools those companies publish) first. Blog posts and unofficial threads are clues, not sources. When a number is still being verified, we say so on the page and record the date we last checked.
How we verify sizes and specs
For a size table we compare the live vendor doc with the file we would actually export (usually 1200×630). We note the date we checked. We do not treat a screenshot from an old tweet as current policy. If two official pages disagree, we say so instead of picking the number that looks tidier.
Updates
There is no weekly magazine cycle. We revisit a guide when a tool changes, when a reader flags an error, or when we notice a vendor rewrite. The “Last updated” line on each policy and article is the date of the current version. Tools that run in the browser are re-tested when their code changes.
Corrections
If a size, URL or explanation is wrong, email hello@socialimagekit.comwith the page URL and the sentence that needs fixing. We will correct the page rather than argue for a stale number. See also Contact.
